A former UCB student has been cooking up a storm on stage at a string of festivals - including BBC Countryfile Live - over the summer before heading back to the classroom.

But Becca Boast isn't back studying, instead, she is putting guests at one of the country鈥檚 leading cookery schools through their paces.

After graduating from the聽Culinary Arts Management聽course in 2013, Becca landed a dream job at聽, where she was the very first apprentice tutor.

Now, five years later and at the age of only 27, she is one of just two senior tutors at the school, which is based at Michelin-starred Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons in the Oxfordshire countryside.

鈥淚 love my job because every day is so different,鈥 Becca said. 鈥淭he school is small and we only have 10 guests at any one time so we really get to know the guests over the course of the day. And, with running 49 different courses seven days a week, it prevents it from becoming repetitive.

鈥淲e also host lots of special events, wine and dine 鈥 our version of a chef鈥檚 table 鈥 and private tuition.鈥

She added that the summer had also seen her cooking in front of an audience at a number of food festivals and also putting on a series of cookery classes at a girls鈥 school 鈥 a first for the business.

She said: 鈥淭his summer I have been cooking live on stage at Blenheim Palace Food Festival, Hampton Court Palace Food Festival and even BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim, where I was on stage with chef Brian Turner.鈥
