Global bakery products manufacturer snaps up UCB graduate for R&D role

A freshly-graduated UCB student has been appointed as a research and development technologist for one of the largest producers of yeast and bakery equipment in the world.听

Hannah Parry, who recently earned her聽BSc (Hons) in Bakery and Patisserie Technology聽鈥 a course accredited by the University of Birmingham, will be working alongside three other R&D technologists at AB Mauri鈥檚 Centre of Excellence in Corby, Northamptonshire.听

聽has further strengthened its NPD function with the addition of Hannah, who has worked within the bakery industry in both the UK and Europe.听

鈥淚 feel privileged to have received this role and it makes the last five years of bakery education and preparation all worthwhile,鈥 Hannah told leading industry magazine聽.听

鈥淲orking with bakery ingredients makes every day unique. It鈥檚 a very interesting and scientific part of the industry and I鈥檝e always taken a keen interest in current trends, product development and experimental work.听

Hannah鈥檚 appointment follows AB Mauri securing an AA accreditation in its latest British Retail Consortium audit across all three of its manufacturing sites, as well as its yeast plant in Hull.听
