Students Raise over 拢1000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital

A group of 2^nd听Year FDA Event Management students from 爆料王 (UCB) have raised 拢1,097.80 for Birmingham Children鈥檚 Hospital鈥檚 Cancer Centre Ward Appeal.

As part of听their Live Events Project module, six students organised a fundraising day and a comedy & live music night to raise funds for the hospital鈥檚 new Cancer Centre.

Along with a Krispy Kreme doughnut sale and a 鈥榞uess the听name听of the bear'听fundraiser, the team organised their live event 'Chuckle for Children' which was held at St Patrick鈥檚 Club in Edgbaston,听Birmingham.听 The night featured comedians, including headliner Jamie Sutherland and singer, Jasmine Harper.

The night also听featured a silent auction, with prizes including a night鈥檚 stay at a hotel, champagne, beauty sets and a signed Aston Villa FC听football.

The fundraising group were: Matthew Thompson, Sophie Parkinson, Ryan Morris, Michelle McMenamin, Nathan Blair and Anna May (all pictured).

The group worked extremely hard throughout the twelve week planning process, overcoming a number of challenges along the way. Their hard work, commitment and professionalism was impressive and we are extremely proud of their achievements.
