The ultimate goals are to enhance student employability through industry-level facilities, creativity and innovation. This is reinforced by UCB鈥檚 industry specialist network that includes Fermex, Callebaut, Rank Hovis, Campden BRI, Heygates and Mondelez.
UCB鈥檚 baking section works with the Alliance for Bakery Students and Trainees (ABST) and bakery colleges throughout the country, in additional to the Worshipful Company of Bakers and the Craft Bakers Association. The development of chocolate kitchens means that the University is closer it its goal of becoming a National Training Centre for Baking and continue to share its insights, solutions and new practice with partners, counterparts and companies within Birmingham and beyond.
