My academic and professional journey is truly global. I鈥檝e taught in countries across Asia (including China, Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand) as well as in the Maldives, Mauritius, the Caribbean, and Europe. I gained most of my industry experience working at Exxon鈥檚 headquarters in Texas, USA. This international perspective, therefore, allows me to bring a broad, practical outlook to every class, ensuring that my students get the opportunity to understand how concepts work in different business environments. I have a deep commitment to applying theory to real-world industry challenges.

At UCB, I focus on making complex topics relating to corporate strategy relevant and engaging, and I also have expertise in economics and human resource management. I鈥檝e presented research with UCB鈥檚 European partners, focusing on the experiences of international students living and studying abroad. I鈥檓 also proud to have helped develop alumni networks for UCB in Hong Kong, China, and Thailand, building strong connections between graduates and the university. I consult on a regular basis and have served as an external examiner for several UK and European universities, and currently hold this role at University College Cork, Ireland. All of these roles keep me connected to the latest industry trends and challenges, which I bring back to my UCB students.

I enjoy the diversity of our student community here at UCB, and I learn from students as much as they learn from me. It's rewarding to hear students consistently describe my classes as engaging, and I always emphasise that genuine enjoyment of their studies naturally simplifies the assessment process.

Outside of work, I love to travel to places I鈥檝e never been before; for example, Nepal is definitely on my list! I also have a keen interest in politics.
