BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS
"I remind my students that success is rarely handed to them on a plate. Only by committing fully can they thrive and achieve their goals."

My students know me as Kate, and I specialise in primary education. I teach on our T Level Education and Early Years FE courses, bringing real classroom insight to help students connect theory with practice.
I worked for almost two decades as a primary school teacher, working across all age ranges and levels and progressing to Assistant Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher. I led key stages, curriculum areas, data, assessment, teaching and learning, and served as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). As well as obtaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), I also have a National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML).
My depth of experience across early years and primary education means I鈥檓 able to share real-world examples that bring our curriculum to life. I鈥檓 motivated by the opportunity to support my students in achieving their goals, which will have a deep impact on hundreds of young people鈥檚 lives. Seeing my students gain confidence and succeed gives me great pride.
Throughout my career, I鈥檓 proudest of my time as an Assistant Headteacher in a department on special measures, and how we were able to improve behaviour, staff wellbeing, and outcomes.
My students say that they enjoy my classes for the respect, honesty, knowledge, and humour I bring to each class. I encourage my students to recognise that success isn鈥檛 handed to you on a plate. However, if you commit fully, you鈥檒l likely thrive and achieve your goals.
In my spare time, I love reading, walking, and watching The Traitors.
